Description

A quick and tasty Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry recipe that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. If using, sprinkle red pepper flakes for added heat. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
  • Add other vegetables such as bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots for extra color and nutrition.
