Description

A quick and easy Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry recipe perfect for dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, beef broth, sesame oil, and sugar. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños to the stir-fry.
  • Substitute the broccoli with other vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots for a different flavor profile.
