Description

A delicious and refreshing Bacon Spinach Salad that combines crispy bacon, fresh spinach, and a variety of toppings for a perfect meal or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large salad bowl, combine the fresh spinach, cherry tomatoes, red onion, crumbled bacon, feta cheese, and sliced almonds.
  3. Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Serve immediately for the freshest taste, or chill in the refrigerator for up to 30 minutes before serving for a cooler salad.

Notes

  • For added crunch, consider substituting the sliced almonds with walnuts or pecans.
  • To make this salad heartier, add grilled chicken or chickpeas for extra protein.
