Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound total)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup honey mustard dressing
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Remove the skillet from heat. Drizzle the honey mustard dressing over the chicken, then sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top.
- Top each chicken breast with shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to the spice mix.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
